Maths Term 3

We have been focusing on place value this term. We are learning how many hundreds tens and ones are in numbers.

We are learning to add on hundreds.

We are learning to represent numbers with tens and ones using place value blocks.

We will keep practising this throughout the year.

WALT: memorise number bonds to 10 and 20.

 We are learning to memorise our number bonds to ten and twenty. 

This is important maths knowledge as it helps us to know how many more/less take us to the nearest ten when we add and subtract larger numbers.

WALT: memorise doubles to 20

We are learning to memorise basic facts such as our doubles to 20. This will help us with addition and multiplication problems in the future.
